The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing day-to-day administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective and efficient operations. He/she reports to the Program Director, and supports the work of management, other staff, and the Board of Directors. He/she must be in residence on Galiano Island.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A. Education, Training and Experience
• Grade 12 graduation.
• At least two (2) years of experience in general office responsibilities and procedures.
• Must be computer literate.

My name is Karen and I am a resident of Galiano Island. I operate a web design and print publishing business out of Manzanita Ville by Sturdies Bay...a great thing... but there are periods of low activity and it would also be great to have another, stable part-time job as a safety net.

I am therefore looking for part-time work one or two days a week at a restaurant, tourism/outdoor adventure outfit, a non-profit organisation, a farm, in caregiving or other work in services or trades.
