Community Garden in Need of a ROTOTILLER!!

Hello,

Kathryn here -

The community garden at Greg Gammon's property is in somewhat desperate need of a rototiller to clear our garden space.
We are hoping that someone will be kind enough to lend us theirs or rent it to us.
Depending on size, we might also need someone to do the hard labour, but that is secondary!
First things first.

If you Have a rototiller or know someone who does, please email me at kathrynbyrne456@hotmail.com or call #0646
We can arrange pick-up, etc after.

Thank you in advance from all of us gardeners :)

This really is the final report. The previous post was the incorrect version. The OCP Steering Committee will give its final look at this today. There are a couple of areas that they will highlight including total size of outbuildings and buildings on "farm status" non-ALR land. Please send comments to the Local Trust Committee or jwolverton@telus.net.

Agriculture and Food Security Advisory Committee - Galiano Gently Growing - This is It!

In the past 2 years, the community has begun to discuss farming and food security in a fairly comprehensive way. We believe that the ideas brought forward in our paper will strengthen the initiatives already begun and support new steps. We also believe that there is a great need for education in the area of farming and food security as we face the challenges ahead. We believe that we must increase our food production in a way that is ecologically sustainable and reduce our reliance on food grown unsustainably elsewhere.
