This is a period piece of early Galiano. The Captain’s Quarters has been lovingly restored to more than its former glory. Today the Captain's Quarters is a luxury romantic escape for 2-4 seeking peace & intimacy - it is set on 10 secluded acres of our organic Cable Bay Farm. There are no other rental accommodations nearby... Privacy is important :o)

It is the original pioneer farmhouse of the McCroskrie property which once spanned 120 acres mid-island at Retreat Cove.There is a beautiful vaulted ceiling upstairs, a queen-sized Norwegian sleigh bed, claw-foot private bathtub and it is finished throughout by master carpenters using teak, fir & yellow cedar. The log house is 800 sqft with an authentic ship’s ladder in between two floors. It is very PRIVATE; full kitchen facilities & bathroom downstairs. CQ is walking distance from either the beaches of Trincomali Channel facing Saltspring Island or those of Georgia Strait (Pebble Beach & Cable Bay Beach) facing Vancouver. Come for great hiking, cycling and exploring Galiano - come by boat into the dock at Retreat Cove just down the road and then unwind after in your own Hot Tub, Sat TV, fireplace and seclusion that is warm & inviting!
