In 1984, concerned residents decided to form a non-profit Health Care Society (GHCS) to provide stable and accessible care on Galiano Island.
The GHCS is your community health society; we receive no funding from the government, are managed by a board elected by Galiano residents who belong to GHCS, and have, as our mandate, maintaining the highest possible level of physical and mental health services on Galiano Island. We are your voice in the health care system.
