Naturescaping enhances habitat for a myriad of bird, insect, amphibian, reptile and mammal species and can be beautiful at the same time. It helps to conserve water resources, eliminate the use of pesticides and fertilizers and most importantly creates a deeper connection between humans and nature. Through this project, we hope to raise awareness about the values associated with our native flora and demonstrating how to incorporate them into our managed landscape.

The site was cleared a number of years ago and is currently dominated by invasive exotic grasses and shrubs, making it an excellent candidate for restorative naturescaping. It also includes moist and dry areas enabling the garden to showcase a diverse array of native plants suitable for growing in a variety of conditions.
