Community Collaboration

This group was created by request following the initial Community Collaboration meeting on August 11th, 2011 as a place for the various organizations on Galiano to talk to each other. Here folks can conduct open public conversations about finding efficiencies in all of our various efforts.

Easy Online Donations

Dear Galiano Island,

As we put the finishing touches on Fall, and gear up for the Winter dinner party season, a significant new feature has popped up on Active Galiano.

Brought to us by Steve Goldberg and Karen Ausrine, it's a page that makes it easier to give the gift of liquid assets to your favorite island organizations, and I'm not talking about Egg Nog.

The draft action plan is only a start from the ideas and themes generated from the first meeting. When you look it over you may come up with different ideas. Please bring these to the meeting to share with everyone.

When we looked over the notes from the first meeting there were many common themes and lots of great ideas. We can work through these over time. The ones on the draft action plan were the identified priorities on that evening. For those who couldn’t make it last time please don’t hesitate to put forward your thoughts and ideas, too.

What were your impressions of tonight's meeting?

Hi Community Collaboration Folks,

What were your impressions of tonight's meeting? I'm personally really stoked by what I saw going on there as it fit so directly with what I've been hoping Active Galiano can help facilitate.

Throughout the process of building Active Galiano, I've been thinking of which organization I might eventually be able to give it to. I think that tonight I saw a glimmer of who really should own the website, and it's the same set of people who I designed to own it in the first place. Everyone.
