  1. I agree, Proof of Work has a huge issue of becoming centralized the way it is currently. I reccomend checking out other Cryptos like XRP, XLM, XDC, and ALGO.

The XRPL fixes a lot of issues the current system has. All the tokens I mentioned have a utility and XRP is a proof on consensus.

All the XRP tokens are mined and way more energy efficient.

  2. I admire the efforts u put in your videos mate, digital currencies continues to reshape the world globally, its hard for for anyone going against them these days, though from a trader's perspective i feel we really need more experts in the field updating newbies / lnvesttors on how the community works. crypto currencies are gradually moving towards something big and the price surge over the past few months is just the beginning of greater things to come

  3. Lol oh Hank I wish my locality was "fine" I know we do crime here and the priority is ourselves. Like I've seen so much crime and I do nothing about it, I can't help you, the police can't help you, we are all just fucked

  4. The conversation started going south at the 40 minute mark when "nationalisation" came up, like I have to laugh. You honestly think all these internationally-reaching conpanies should be owned and regulated by the american government? 😂 Please, I trust Zuckerberg more than that.

Hank does later on mention Europe and that we would do better and "show them the way". Erm no? It's simple; all current social media should be regulated by the EU for the benefit of all world citizens. We wouldn't "show" anyone the way, we would just get it done right away.

You could see the new privacy laws as a form of regulation on tech companies. It's already happening. I hope as Chelsea says we see somethig like this in 20 years time: all social media companies publicly owned and operated for the benefit of the people as public utilities.

  5. I really liked this interview, but it wasn't until hearing Hank respond that I realized Chelsea asks very leading questions and it's a little bit difficult to listen to when she's interviewing a person with different opinions that her own

  6. Can't know how I bumped onto this. All in all GREAT clip 🙌🙌. I also watched those rather similar from MStarTutorials and kinda wonder how you guys make these clips. MSTAR TUTORIALS also had cool info about similiar money making things on his channel.

  7. One thing you guys didn't bring up is the mental health and fortitude of the population and how our laws haven't yet fully incorporated science in our laws yet. We have people who barely graduated high school in law enforcement and career politicians that don't believe in science but govern human lives. Psychology should be taken into account when law are made, addictions, literacy, competency should all be relevant and not just assumed in our country

  8. As someone that is an engineer developing recommendation system (for personalized retail shopping), it really pisses me off to see these people getting off the hooks blaming the algorithm. Anyone with basic knowledge to even start working on such a problem knows that there are ways to prevent certain items/content to be recommended (some sort of DO NOT RECOmmend list). Leave the fact that these companies are hiring the top skilled engineers in the world, if they have not prevented fake news and crap from being recommended, it is only because they do not want to. They got all the computing power and manpower to tackle these problems. Great conversation Hank and Chelsea!

  9. I love you and hate to disagree BUT!!! Jack Dorsey does NOT decide who does and doesn’t get a platform. There ARE other platforms. And I agree Jack Dorsey is a little weird BUT THANK GODDESS for his company Square which opened up the world of commerce to small businesses like people trying to sell jewelry at a craft fair and farmers trying to sell oranges at the farmers market. I love that!

  10. I'm gonna criticize one thing that Hank said from this overall great conversation, his view on how bitcoin can be manipulated worse than the dollar can. Let me first talk about the dollar and the problem people have with it: inflation. Inflation is essentially a wealth tax on the poor and middle class, and simultaneously, it works to the benefit of the ultra rich. Have you ever seen charts which depict the explosion of wealth inequality since about the early 70s? It's more than just coincidence that this was when Nixon took us off the gold standard. Moreover, the CPI has such a narrow definition that it cant possibly be an indicator of real inflation and is likely undershooting it considerably (real estate, healthcare, tuition being notable exclusions). This means that even in jobs where bonuses compensate for yearly inflation increases, you are making less, and less, and less as the years go by. And this is where bitcoin is fundamentally different – it doesn't inflate, and that means all the problems associated with inflation also dont exist.

The reason why Musk can swing the price of bitcoin like that comes down to one thing: growing pains. Bitcoin being such a new thing is often held by speculators who are only interested in seeing the price move, and the reason there is so much price growth is because adoption is still at such an early stage. Now consider if bitcoin was adopted to such a degree it becomes the world's reserve currency. Traders and institutions with billions and trillions of dollars try and make money by trading currencies as well, but at those scales it hardly budges the price. Bitcoin enthusiasts aren't talking about the world right know, they're talking about the world as it potentially could be, once bitcoin becomes standard in everyone's diet, and possibly even when it's being used as the reserve currency. And it would honestly much fairer for bitcoin to be the reserve currency, as opposed to the USD, because the status quo forces smaller countries to move to the whims of corrupt American institutions.

  11. I'm towards the end but I really hope they talk about the environmental damage of NFTs. More people need to know how damaging it is. So many computers and technology have to run in order to create one!! It's creating so much unnecessary CO2 and it is hurting our environment more.
